Kamal Haasan wishes Rajinikanth speedy recovery after hospitalisation

Superstar Kamal Haasan wished his fellow actor and dear friend, superstar Rajinikanth, a speedy recovery in his latest post. Rajinikanth, lovingly called Thailaivar by his fans, was rushed to a hospital in Chennai on September 30. The hospital released a statement earlier today saying that Rajinikanth had a swelling in a major blood vessel connecting to his heart and doctors had to perform a non-surgical procedure to fix it.

The 73-year-old was admitted to the hospital after he reportedly complained of stomach pain. The actor’s wife, Latha Rajinikanth, told the media that “all is well” and refused to share any more details about his health. The actor will be discharged in 2 days.
Meanwhile, at his workfront, Rajinikanth is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Vettaiyan. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the film also features Amitabh Bachchan in an important role. It is slated to hit the screens on October 10. The superstar is also shooting for his next, titled Coolie.
